How to download the app if you don’t have access to the Android market

You still need an Android phone, but if you don’t have access to the Android market or through some glitch the app doesn’t appear there you can download below:

NB occasionally we deliberately block the app from appearing for a particular device as we’re not sure it’s working right. Also note if you’ve somehow downloaded from the Android market in the past and then download from the above link you will need to uninstall the market version first (the reverse is also true).

  1. Berthold K.P. Horn says:

APKInstaller didn’t work for me (Windows 7). Says it can’t find the Android, even though it
    is plugged in via USB:

Sorry, but your android device could not be found. Make sure it is
plugged into your computer, then try again.

Tried it in both modes: just tethered, and in ‘USB storage’ mode.
Could have something to do with the fact that it is designed for Windows XP (2009).
